Lighted Gold Star-48" 1.7 5 3 3
gaudy and cheap looking this looked so beautiful in the picture and would have loved to display outside on my home..expected the wire to be gold with some glitter...but it is white with glitter chunks that flake off just opening the box...thanks for the mess....no way this could survive outdoors and who would want it inside! WAY OVER PRICED! November 28, 2012
good idea, below-average product I always search for unique, classy outdoor decorations that are high in spirit and low on 'kitsch'. I saw the star online and just had to have it. Well, the box arrived quickly, the outside box showed no dents, s+h was perfect. The actual star however lacked orientation to detail. The star's design was barely covered in paint (glitter). Quite a few spots on the star had no paint on them at all (it was clean yellow plastic underneath). While assembling, several paint 'pieces' came off. This is an outdoor star, so it should sustain the effects of rain/wind/snow but apparently just touching it once to apply the screws is enough for the paint to chip. The idea was great, unfortunately the product was well below expectations and not worth the money. November 25, 2012
Glitter Flakes In putting the star together (which looked like wire clothes hangers coated in plastic) the glitter came off in junks. It could use another strand of lights to make it more impressive. They do give you extra tie downs to add your own lights at your expense. Not as dramatic as the picture shows in the book. November 5, 2012
