Lighted Candy Cane Arch 2.9 5 16 16
LIGHTED ARCHWAY I LOVED THIS LIGHTED ARCHWAY, BUT THE LIGHTS ON THE LEFT CANDY CANE HAS ALREADY STOPPED WORKING, IT HAS ONLY BEEN UP FOR THREE DAYS November 28, 2012
Lighted Candy Cane Arch I have assembled the arch but have not yet placed it in position along the pillars of the front porch. I think that it will look very nice there. Assembly takes 3 hands at times, so be prepared to need a helper on some of the assembly. The only negative was that small parts came loose in a big box and there were some small holes punched in it from shipping. It is a miracle that none of the small bolts or nuts did not fall out during shipment. Also more ties could be used where the parts bolt together as I had to buy some to keep the fabric tied to the frame. I really think that it is a unique and neat outdoor Christmas decoration. Looks great, poorly made It looks great but is built flimsily. We reinforced it with angle iron to keep it from falling apart in wind. November 6, 2012
Disappointed I saw this last year (nov 2011) and bought it immediately since it looked great on here. When I got it, I set it up. It did take some time. It took me and my husband to set it up due to it's size. One of hooks where the hollys was supposed to hang was broken, but I figured I would fix it somehow since I already opened the package. Once it was up, I could tell it was not going to be sturdy. I went to the store to buy more zip ties to secure the top to the bottom pieces. That helped but then I needed to secure the bottom to the ground because it would continue to lean. I ended up buying rebar to secure each base of the candy canes up. That helped a lot. When I went to plug it (by the way each side has a plug which I didn't like) one of the candy canes was only lit half way. I tried looking at the lights but couldn't figure out what was wrong. I just left it up. In the day it looked great, at night, you could see the missing lights. I only had it up 4 days until one morning I went out and one of the candy canes had fallen apart from the bottom half. After looking at it, I saw that it had broken off where you secure it to the bottom half. I took it down. I was going to return it but good luck putting it back in the box. I even took pictures before I took it out so I can remember how to put it back in when the holidays were over but I still couldn't put it in without ripping the box. If they made this product sturdier then I'm sure it would have lasted. Again, it looked great during the day during the few days it was up, but since not all my lights were working, it wasn't that good looking at night. Was hugely disappointed with this product. bad item it is not made good at all. the fabric was coming off ,not all the parts was not in the box , the arch does not fit it the cane right ,NO instructions ,one of the holly leaves did not work it was winded one day it fell had to move it closer to the house wire tied together is not good for these item December 2, 2011
this product looks better at night I have seen this product on line and finally ordered it this year. It does look great a night but not so great in the daylight. It took little time to assemble but you do need 2 people due to the size and different sections it comes in. All in all I am very pleased with it and it is a nice addition to our holiday decor. I have a daycare and the children loved it. November 29, 2011
envy of the neighbors PRO -- It looks very nice DAY and NIGHT much better than the inflated yard decor .. And putting it all on a yard timer is the best thing ever, you never have to remember to turn on or off .. CON --- it has two different plugs that need to be plugged in and they are on opposite sides geez now I need two extension cords ... just wish it was made more durable I had to use my garden arch way to zip tie it to because the first Wind that comes It will be gone .. PRO ----I love that its not something everyone can just pickup at the local CHAIN retailer .. so in my area its a one of a kind .. November 28, 2011
Poor product quality During assembly the light weight rod frame easily bent and spot welds broke. I have to tig weld the broken welds to be able to use it. I will increase the base foot print to stableize the whole thing November 27, 2011
Unique but not great I was really looking forward to this for our christmas entrance. The tip of one side doesn't light (see photo) as the wiring made a closed loop - no entry for power! I have a way to fix with another light strand, but it should never have passed inspection. Although made of metal, I don't think it will last more than 1 or 2 seasons. The neighbors love it and it adds something festive to the entry. November 25, 2011
Bad Buy I was excited when I got this to put out front of our house this year for my small children. When I opened the box I was hesitant but still wanted to try to put it together to see how it would look. The overall concept is great, however the welds in four areas came apart, there were not enough zip ties to safely secure (not a big deal), the fabric was loose and ripped off some of the frames (the small zip ties there didn't hold), and then to top it off the bottom frame broke off in places when I was trying to stake it down. Horrible quality November 19, 2011
only one problem When we recieved the item, we were so excited to put it up, only to find that 1/2 of the 1 candycane dont light....Hope we can fix it some how, it really is a beautiful peice... November 18, 2011

Extension cords?

The specifications indicate the arch requires two extension cords. Where are the plugs located? Is there one on each candy cane? How are the arch and bow plugged in?

Answer:
when I had mine from back then, each candy cane section had a plug near each base, so that is why 2 extensions are needed.
