Hope you're reading these reviews before ordering because you'll find out what would've been a deal breaker for me: the rails are vinyl. The detail of the mounting rails is omitted in the description. The description does suggest good for canned goods. Maybe one or two canned goods per shelf. It's better for lighter weight items. Overall I'm disappointed by this product but after assembling, there's no point in returning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this product more in theory than in reality. The mounting rails for this product are made out of plastic and not metal, like I expected. The mounting rails actually come in 8 pieces and each piece has 3 screw holes. That’s a total of 24 holes you have to make in your door to mount this item! That’s an unacceptable number of holes to put in your door and because there’s so many mounting screws the shelves aren’t as adjustable as they could be. The wire shelves probably do their job but they seem a bit flimsy. I would like this product so much more if the mounting rails were metal, maybe came in 2 or 4 pieces, and had 6 to 8 mounting screws total. I bought this item to put on the back of my pantry door but will probably mount it in the garage instead. It’ll be easier to fill holes in drywall if I decide I don’t like it or want to move it in the future. I’m going to see what I can get at one of the “Big Box” stores instead. Although, I doubt I’ll find something with adjustable shelves. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product. I wish I would have.

I was a bit disappointed that the mounting rails were made out of vinyl rather than metal as the shelves, which would have made the product sturdier and more durable over time. The installation was surprisingly easy. The entire process took only about 30 minutes. Because of the vinyl rails I was a bit leery of putting heavier canned goods on the shelving as they seemed to sag a bit in the middle when loaded. I was able to fully load the shelves with lighter weight boxed items, such as pudding and jello boxes and boxes of pasta and cereal. I also put bags of tea and coffee on the shelves. I am very happy with the additional storage these shelves provide and was able to successfully declutter my limited cupboard space.
I would recommend this to a friend!
