Insulated Curtain Liner - 56"

Disappointed after only a few months
I purchased 3 of the insulated curtain liners in January 2013, but didn't hang them up until March. The 3 are used to cover a picture window and 2 windows that are on either side of the picture window. I took the liners down in April to change the sheer curtains that I had hanging in front of them. When I hung them back up, I noticed sunlight coming through the center of one of the liners. Upon close inspection, I found two vertical slits. I expect better quality for a $25 item. I placed white tape over the slit on the white side of the liner and black tape on the opposite side--real tacky but being on a retirement budget I can't afford to just throw it out. Now I just hope the slits don't continue running or that additional slits don't occur. Beware if you buy them. As info, other Improvements products have been satisfactory.

Amazing!
Theses blackout curtains does what it says it does. I loved that all we had to do was hang it behind the curtains that we already had and can use it with other style curtains in the future if we need to change the curtains that we have. I used these in our baby's room to darken the room more during her naps when it's super sunny outside. Great Quality! Worth buying!

These Liners are Great1
I was in a quandary regarding my drapes. May favorites were too light and unlined for winter. In looking at new drapes, I couldn't find anything I liked as well. Then I noticed Improvements had a liner. I ordered one, just to try.it. It worked perfectly. I sewed it in right under the tabs, and with a couple of pins here and there, they hang very nicely. I lined two doubles and two triples and am very pleased. Price is right, too!

Satisfied
These liners are perfect size. Fairly easy to install. I wish they had also the option to use hooks.

Two Questions
1. Are these insulated curtain lines also blackout liners? Do they block out nearly all outside light?
2. Are these liners suitable for hanging on a separate slider track (separate from the curtain track) using regular drapery hooks (see image)

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Since the Curtain Liners are not permanently fixed in place as a window is, they do not have an R rating. However, they do help block cold drafts and provide insulation.6 months ago
