Indoor Dryer Vent

Great solution, but here's some tips for installation ...
I absolutely love this solution for dryers with venting issues. But if you're in a condo, like me, you probably also have a space issue, so you will need to buy, also, a telescoping vent, which will attach to the dryer, move the air over the top of the dryer (make sure the one you select is long enough#, and then the foil tube attaches to this lint catcher. If you skip this step, the foil tube is very thick, and you can't push the dryer back close enough to the wall. #Another solution is a connector that turns up, so the tube doesn't have to make any 90 degree turns.) In any event, even if space isn't an issue, keep in mind that the foil tube is only 4 feet long, so unless you're planning to leave this unit on the floor, you will need a longer one. Once you get it all attached, it's GREAT! No more worries about lint collecting in the wall, or an overheating dryer!!

dryer vent solution
my original house dryer vent goes up and out through the roof. this was all cleaned out to insure proper ventilation and it still took several drying cycles to get clothes dry. this indoor dryer vent solved the problem. My clothes dry in only one cycle or even less. i was worried about the humidity this would put out. but it is very minimal and not a problem. well worth the money. only in the $20 range.

You Get What You Pay For
This could easily be a nice product if manufacturer would
have used better material and had clamp fittings that actually worked
Had to go out and purchase stronger and longer coil and new clamps
to get them to stay on the filter box. Would have gladly spent twice the
asking price for a better made product.

A workable alternative to outdoor venting.
Our laundry room is situated in such a way that the dryer requires an extremely long run of venting to reach the outside. This causes the venting to become clogged with lint which blocks air flow and makes the dryer inefficient. Its a miserable job to go under the house to clean the venting.
The indoor dryer vent solved that problem. The dryer has never worked better. The down-side is elevated humidity and heat in the laundry room area, and more noise. The water in the dryer vent seems to trap most of the lint but must be changed and cleaned every few loads. It is fairly easy to do except for fighting with the venting in order to reattach the lid.
All in all, this is a good solution if remodeling is out of the question.
