Ecofan™ for Wood Stoves
Energy-saving Ecofan™ spreads the heat from a wood stove, but needs no cords or batteries!
Ecofan™ is a heat-powered fan that helps circulate the warm air created by your wood stove. But it needs no batteries or cords because it generates its own electricity! For this "Seebeck Effect" to work, the fan base must sit on top of a wood stove with a surface temperature of at least 150°F. Placing it towards the back or side of the stove allows it to draw cooler air from behind, which then gets the blades moving. Optimal running temperature of the Ecofan is the same as that of wood stoves: 450°F to 650° F. Fan speed varies with stove temperature. Standard-size fan with two blades circulates up to 100 cu. ft./minute; 8" tall.
