1-Car-Garage Screen Kit (8' W x 7' tall) 3.2 5 27 27
Nice Idea but not perfected My husband liked the idea of the screen for the garage opening to be able to work in the garage with the door open during the cotton wood tree season. He wanted to be able to leave the screen up and roll it up when not in use or to get the vehicle out of the garage, of which, with the screens design, you can't do. The rods (weights) in the bottom are in four sections and you have to use screws to attach the screen. My husband tried it with heavy duty Velcro August 7, 2014
GARAGE SCREEN KIT- FLIMSEY My dog easily ripped the netting with his paws trying to go through the opening. To improve this product requires using a heavier gauge netting fabric( like the netting used for doors). the current fabric rips easily. The netting attached to the bottom border material needs to be reinforced. More magnets need to be added to the opening/closure seams. More velcro squares need to be added to where the netting attaches to the house A wider strip of fabric needs to be used for the seams. if you do not have pets, this product would probably be ok. Great product for the price I have a four foot covered area in front of the front door, but mosquitoes and other bugs collect there in the summer and every time you open the door after dark you get a swarm in the house. I hung this up in front of the overhang, and the slit down the middle makes it easy to walk through. I took the inside two poles out of the bottom so that the screen moves more freely when walked through. It is doing the job! March 20, 2014
double garage door screen When I tried to install this on my new garage for a party it came up about 8" too short in length. Hardly works against flies with that large of a gap. There was no way to install it and have it work. I dont have an extra tall garage door, its a standard size. October 13, 2013

It says in the description to insert your own tube or piping in the bottom. What size of tubing would fit the bottom of the screen?

Thank you for your question. The Garage Door Screen Kit includes the tubes needed to provide weight at the bottom of the screens. The tubes are approximately 3/4 of an inch.

I want to use this for a screen house that is 10 ft by 10 ft. to replace one side which does not have an opening. (it has two openings on the walls opposite one another and we need them on adjacent walls). The "magic doors" on the market are not wide enough so I am looking at those designed for garage doors and this one seems great, but too wide. So I am wondering if I can cut appx. 3 ft. off each side to be the width I need?

Thank you for your question. We do not recommend altering the Garage Screen Kits as additional tailoring would be required and the weights on the bottom would need to be modified.
