Freedom Flagpole Light 2.5 5 6 6
Light performs well. It was a long haul. I ordered my light the third week of June. When I received it, about 10 days later, there were parts missing from the box, and it looked repackaged, as if it had been a return. I charged it anyway and tested it. It did not work! I was not happy with Improvements at that point, but the customer service rep I worked with on the return/exchange went above and beyond to right the wrong. I finally received the new light at the end of July, charged it, and it works very well. The light looks very well made, sturdy and solid. The clamps provided for attachment to a flagpole are a bit tricky to attach to the support bracket and not attractive, but they work well and the rest of the installation is easy. I have a six foot flagpole attached to my deck, and that places the light close to the flag, which provides plenty of light to the flag. I checked it about 2 am and it was still shining brightly, so based on what some other people had said, I was very pleased with that. After the rocky beginning, and a five week wait, I am finally very pleased with the end results. August 4, 2014
Freedom Flagpole light I was surprised to find the product was metal, not plastic as most outdoor fixtures seem to be these days. It is quite robust and solid. The directions were on the outside of the box, which we discovered after repeatedly looking through the container. A good idea, just not the norm and makes it a little difficult to "save" with the purchase information. For best results, allow it to charge up for 3 full days, then turn on. 2 days didn't really do the trick. It also has a very sensitive photocell so if any outdoor lighting hits the area, it won't come on. It took a little trial and error to get it mounted just right but I do believe it is worth it. The beam spread is very wide and gets the entire flag. The light levels are very adequate and makes a nice security light. September 3, 2013
Good Idea Gone Bad My husband is a difficult person to buy gifts for, and when I saw this item, it seemed perfect. However, when we installed the light on our flag pole, it was a disappointment. It wasn't very bright, and in no way did it shine up and on to our flag. In fact, all it did was show a small glow of light from the light itself, but didn't project with enough strength to highlight our flag 3' away from it. We have, in fact, already dismantled it and put it away... probably permanently. So sad.... October 24, 2011
Freedom Flagpole Light received in the mail and the light came without a cellophane cover on the solar panel and called company and asked and they said sometime they do and sometimes they do not. A bit strange to me because the panel is a bit scratched up, but they said no problem. Have followed instructions, but light has not worked after 3 days in the sun. May have to send it back. This is my second light and first one lasted about three years or so, but supposed to have rechargeable battery, but could not recharge the battery. May not order another one at all. August 23, 2013
