Very Unique
This was a great addition to my halloween decor this year, all the trick or treaters loved it! I only gave it 4 starts because my husband and I made sure the string on either side was very tight and straight but it didn't 'float' back and forth from one side to the next, it only went a few inches every time it was activated. On the plus side the volume is very loud which worked for our little haunted front yard. Great buy and would recommend to all.

Ghost
It did not work at all after the first week. And you have to be very close to activate. For the money it did not work.

Fun for all
This spooky flying ghost has been a hit at our house this Halloween season. Works equally well outside (weather permitting) and inside. We ended up stringing him from one corner of our living room to the opposite corner, and he flies great, as long a you can get the line taut enough. Recommend searching online for how to tie a taut-line knot, if you don't know how (there's a good video on You Tube). It will be very helpful in getting it taut enough. Have fun!

Cool Ghost
This is a very cool decoration, the only thing I don't like is that you can't just "leave it on". It is sound activated and it is not that sensitive, we have to yell or clap for it to go off. It would be nice if you could have an extra setting for that. Also, it doesn't take advantage of the whole chord, it seems to stay on one section. Other than that it is very cool.

Did not work
I was excited to get the Flying Ghost, but unfortunately it did not work. It made scary noises, but would not move across the line. Would not recommend this product.

Fun for kids
I bought this item also for my husbands store. It was a big hit. The kids just stood there watching it go back and forth. We've never had moving items for decorating before and it was a big hit with the kids. Can't wait for next year!

Nice Halloween piece for $20
This was nice added Halloween effect to my yard. It's easy to set up and he's ready to go. The only drawback is that he is sound activated and you either have to clap or yell to get him to do his thing. It would have been nicer if it was motion activated. Overall can't beat the price and kinda creepy at night.

Looks great, but motor is underpowered
Love the look of the ghost "flying" over my graveyard, but the motor is underpowered and it tends to stop at times.

not a good buy
the appearance was great in both the catalog and when i got it--but it was damaged, and i had a whole lot of trouble w/the battery "cage" (couldn't open it w/a screwdriver, so i broke it open w/a scissors, put the batteries in, and "sealed" it up w/duct tape); then the product did its "moaning & movement thing" for a short while, and stopped moving--however, the sound was great, it still did its job, and the kids & adults were happy.

Ghostly addition
The end result was good. The hard part was putting it up. It lacked any instructions, not good. I got by easily, but other consumers may not find it so. Getting the line level and taught could be made easier with a ratchet or clamp device similar to tie downs. It is also a good idea to wipe the cord after everything is set. I notice it would sometimes reverse before hitting the stops. I like it well enough to buy another!

Flying Ghost is easy to set up just add batteries
I needed something new this year (2011) for outside my house on Halloween that did more than just hang on a tree. This product is activated by sound (batteries not included) and since it is very light, it moves smoothly on a nylon rope. You can hang it inside or outside (depending on the weather). The switch allows you to turn it on with or without scary sounds. The trick or treaters that came to my house loved it (including the adults).

Flying Ghost
I've had my ghost two years now and it's still a party hit! I string it between two trees in the yard and as long as the line is drawn tight it will complete the entire 6 foot span. Easy to store and still working on the original set of batteries!

Fun, interactive halloween ghost
This traveling ghost runs toward your door when hearing a noise, and then retreats, all the while making "scary" noises and waving its "arms.". Fun for everyone, not too scary for the little ones. It is easy to assemble. The quality is excellent. The only disadvantage is that it can't stay outside in wet weather because of its battery operation and its gauzy robes. It is very inconvenient to take it down and put it up daily--we required a stepladder. And then it rained on Halloween here, so we couldn't put it up at all. We look forward to next year!!

This toy does not function well, I would not buy it again
this floating ghost looks great on the website, but it is hard to get any kind of quality for $20. I ordered two of these toys in case one did not function as shown. Sure enough, one does not move at all, and the other one labors very slowly to a stop after moving only a few feet on the guide line.
There were no instructions with this toy, so if you do buy one be sure that the guide line is ABSOLUTELY TIGHT AND FLAT. the electric motor in this toy is too week to move the ghost more than a few feet on a flat line, so if there is any slack at all in your guide line the ghost won't move at all. It is such a hassel making returns that I will keep both of these toys and just hag them up next year with no expectation that they will move.

It flies
This ghost was everything I expected. So much fun to watch people as the ghost would glide back and forth moving its arms up and down and making its ghostly sounds. Don't know who enjoyed it more--me or the people out there trick or treating! The only thing I would do to improve it would be an uplighting on the face to make it appear even more ghostly.

Pretty good, but consider these observations before buying...
I bought this item on sale (about 1/2 off). It's very cute and makes loud scary noises or floats silently. This is my first Halloween using it, so I few things I've observed. 1. The rope needs to be tied extremely tight and level, so I couldn't tie it to one of my trees (too small). I ended up having to tie one end to my home, to ensure "taughtness" otherwise, the ghost can't move far because it doesn't work on an incline. 2. You need to hang it high enough so that it doesn't touch ANYTHING when it moves along the rope. It snags very easily, which will bring it to a halt. 3. Due to the nature of the product, I decided not to hang it up until the night before Halloween, because it seems delicate and I'm not sure if it would survive any bad weather (wind, rain, snow). 4. Lastly, there seems to be a third arm that I can't account for it's purpose. Still it's a very cute product.

Bad ghost
This product was disappointing. It moved only a very short distance on the cord and made sound effects only part of the time. Contained no instructions. I think it needed a more powerful motor to work as advertised. It's OK for just a decoration.

The ghost looks wonderful; however, it took us a while to assemble it. There were no assembly instructions. Also, batteries were not included.

Ghost
This is a good product for the price. But, you must keep the rope tight and even or else you will only get about 2ft of movement. Once I adjusted the height the ghost now goes from end to end. It glides over my walkway perfectly.

What a scream!

Flying Ghost
My grandson said he wanted a ghost that would go back and forth across the yard and this one does the trick. What I like the most about it is you can have it travel with or without sound. Sometimes the sounds can be too loud or compete with other Halloween decorations. I like the option of movement only or movement with sound. The string must be taut for the ghost to move all the way across. His arms go up and down and it turns around. Nice product.

Batteries die in a day
This ghost is neat- it looks good, moves in a creepy way and seems of decent quality. However, we installed brand new batteries in it, and within 24 hours they were dead. Four C batteries cost quite a bit of money, so we won't be putting more batteries in it till Halloween. It just never stopped moving- was too sensitive to the noise of cars driving by.

Holiday decoration
We love this addition to our Halloween decorations. It works well in our front yard strung between a large tree and our front porch. The flying effect as it glides back and forth is great.

It.s okay
Unless you can keep the "wire" REALLY taught it won't perform as it should. I had to go online to get instructions. It hangs heavy, so a little hard to keep taught.
