This will go back. Shedding too much. Bought a number of products here and was satisfied but not with this doormat.

i was a skeptic at first
ive tried different products to stop the mud from being tracked in by 4 dogs but nothing worked..i saw this item and bought the runner and door mat which arrived just before the first snow thaw....it works great....even tho the long haired dogs still have mud up their legs, the paws are clean and the floor is clean.

This product really helps control dirt
I just got new flooring in my home, and wanted something to stop the dirt and pine needles from being tracked thru...I ordered the black and white ones and yes the edges are unfinished, but the dirt stays put! I have just ordered the brown and white for the other entrance to our house. They vacumm really easy and always look sharp! Thanks so much for a great dirt catcher!

Product Great - Order Incorrect
i ordered three black and white dirt stopper mats and one brown and white dirt stopper mat. I received four black and white mats. I will order an additional mat for the area where I need brown and white because the new mats instantly decreased the amount of dirt, leaves, etc, tracked into the garage from outdoors and into the house from the garage. Based on the pictures, I expected all the mats to have rounded corners. The two runners are square, not rounded, which does not give them a "finished" look.

Are the carpet fibers stiched in loops or are the tops of the fibers cut? I need a non-loop fiber carpet as my dogs nails always get caught in the "loops" of the carpets.

The fibers are short,tight and soft. My dog has not had any issues with this being our first month with the runners, and he has gone up and down dozens of times on a daily basis. Hope this helps!Age: 45-54

Problem with these - vs putting a rubber backing on the floor below - is that when you wash the mat, the rubber invariably crumbles, even with careful washing.

Answer:
As with any rubber backed rug, it can be washed up to 100 times or more if you use warm or cold water, the delicate or normal wash cycle and air fluff only in the dryer. This kind of rubber deterorates much more quickly when exposed to heat.Age: 45-54

This is useful to know...I think rubber can deteriorate if petroleum products are used (which most laundry detergent contain as primary ingredient...) Maybe use something without petroleum derivatives?
