Outstanding Product
Good product for our use because we experience strong winds frequently and with this unit the flag does not get twisted.

Nice flag pole holder.
Gives a classy look to a standard flag pole holder. Looks great and is a good value. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Aluminum pole bent in a windstorm
This product worked perfectly at first. No more flag wrapped around the flagpole! No more untangling it every morning and evening by leaning over the front porch rail. It probably would have worked well for many years if I had taken the flag in when there was a severe weather warning. That evening, instead of hanging toward the ground, the wind was blowing our flag straight up in the air; stars toward the ground, and stripes pointing to the sky. The aluminum pole ended up with a slight bend near the base. The result was that it no longer rotated and my flag again wrapped around the pole. I suppose you can't expect lightweight aluminum to hold up to that kind of stress. I contacted customer service and they quickly shipped an entire new product. My credit card was billed, but the money was refunded after I returned the box with my original bent pole replacing the new one. I think I have thwarted future bending problems by cutting a length of shower rod to the length of the lower section (below the flag itself), and slipping over the aluminum pole. This still allows the pole to rotate inside the shower rod, but will prevent the lateral movement that caused the slight bend. My conclusion...a great idea, great customer service, but the design could use a little improvement. It would probably work well for many years if you're cautious about not leaving it out in high winds. Or try the shower rod trick.

This item is a great replacement for the wooden flagpole that I had! Looks great off my deck and my flag does not get twisted...

Yes, the rings that attach the flag to the pole are adjustable so I don't see why you couldn't.Age: 55-65

I bought the 6 foot one. I can't see a reason why the 7 footer couldn't handle a 3x5 flag.Age: Over 65

Answer:
Yes! Certainly! The Rotating Flagpole Set includes a 2-piece flagpole with round ball top, flag ties, and hardware. Made of sturdy (1.2mm) anodized aluminum, the 6' pole (3/8"Dia.) is ideal for a 3'x5' flag; 7' pole (1"Dia.) is perfect for a 4'x6' flag.I would advise that you keep an eye on the weather and remove the flag if high winds or inclement storms approach. I've had many flag poles through the years and no matter how they are made, the force of high winds/storms can make a flag bow the pole over breaking it.

In looking at your picture, it appears that your flag looks like it has a "curtain pocket." I just got the rotating flagpole. The POLE itself doesn't have anything permanently attached that would prevent you from hanging your flag like in your picture. HOWEVER, the HOLDER is designed to hold the pole at a 45- degree angle. It cannot be adjusted. In looking at your picture, I think your flag would slide down. So, I think the flag needs grommets. The pole comes with 2 plastic "rings" that each have a screw in them. You slide one ring over the pole, then take off the screw, put the grommet over the hole where you just unscrewed, put the screw back on. It has to be (carefully) tightened just enough to secure it to the pole. (Careful not to strip the screw.) This holds the flag in place. The screw is tightened against the pole which keeps it from sliding down the pole. Then you do the same for the other ring/grommet.I hope this helps. It was hard to explain (& probably too much information. lol).

Answer:
As long as the flag couldn't slide down the pole. Maybe use one of the included fasteners at the bottom of the flag and the flag fits tight. to the pole.. The pole and flag should move together..Age: Over 65

I purchased one of these units three years ago and now have to buy the whole thing again because the base rusted. I was told at the time of purchase that you have a new supplier and the base is plastic because of complaints from customers with metal bases that rusted. The unit I just received looks like the base is indeed metal and will likely rust again unless there is a way to seal it.
