Firewood Splitter 4.2 5 13 13
don't delay, buy this, a real deal I was a bit worried if I could actually make this 'manual' log splitter work because I am of slight stature and weight, 5'2", 100 pounds and have 67 years under my belt.. I buy my firewood already split, but there is always some too large for my little indoor wood stove. This splitter works great for me. It does take some effort on some pieces, and I certainly would not want to use it to split a full load of firewood, but for my 5-10 pieces a day, it is perfect. I must admit that I don't even try to split pieces with knots, but if a person is larger than I, probably would work. If this splitter ever breaks, I absolutely would purchase another one. worked well but poor construction when first received the product worked very well. however after only a couple days a non weight bearing piece broke. this area is also not high impact. I reordered the unit and hopefully it will be better constructed. chinese poured metal products are often of inferior quality October 27, 2011
Exactly What I Was Looking For Very easy to use; perfect for creating kindling out of previously split logs. Not suited to splitting larger logs. December 2, 2011
Works As Expected I've had this product for two years and have put it through some heavy duty use cutting logs that were probably a little too large for it. It has held up well and I have used it often. Yes, it does work better on some types of wood and logs than others. It's not difficult to use but it takes more strength then you might think. If you are fit it should be no problem, but if you are elderly or have leg/knee problems it will be harder than you might think to press down on the foot handle. It is a good value at full price, on sale it's a no brainer. February 16, 2012
Firewood Splitter I like it now that I know how to use it the instructions are not the best but was able to find a utube video with a demo so it now makes sense. September 12, 2012
Safety First After watching my husband swing an axe all one afternoon, I found the firewood splitter in your catalog. It was easy to assemble and has extremely sturdy construction. All it takes is one or 2 pumps of a foot and the log is split. Just make certain that the log splitter is on level, solid ground. This tool is certainly safer than an axe and anyone can use it. Makes a Hand This little device is making a hand. It took some time to develop skill on how the slide works but once I figured it out - it was on! I cut two hours worth of fresh cut wood which is hard to split. January 14, 2014
Innovative tool This log splitter is a mobile unit of excellence, light and compact for on the go. January 30, 2014
Don't BUY! I just used this for the first time today. I bought it to split the pieces that are too large to fit the stove I have, I get 15-20 pieces that are just a little too big. on the third piece, no knots or anything the bars bent on me, what a piece of jumk. March 18, 2014
