Extra Wide Rubber Leaf Stair Tread 48"-Set of 3 4.7 5 39 39
Pleasantly Pleased I purchased these treads because my limestone steps become dangerously slippery when it sleets or snows . I put the treads out just before a 5" snowfall. After removing the snow from the steps I found that treaded area was much safer to step on when compared to the non-treaded areas of the steps. The next day there was an ice storm. Unfortunately the treaded steps were frozen over and just a slippery as the non-treaded ones. In conclusion I would recommend the rubber treads for use in snow or rainy situations but they do little to prevent slippery conditions during icing conditions. Since severe icing conditions are rare in my area, I still feel that these treads are useful under most conditions and are also quite attractive. At this price, I would defintiely recommend them as I am, for the most part quite satisfied. January 8, 2014
Durable yes, performance almost. I purchased these treads for the porch steps as I was worried that my old Golden/Labrador would have trouble getting up the steps at our new home when it's wet or icy outside. The steps are made of concrete. I thought that since the treads are made of rubber that they would stay in place, but unfortunately they slide a little on the steps. I'm thinking that when we have a warm, dry spell I will try to glue them in place. I'm not sure what product I will use to glue these down. Also, these treads are made black rubber and look really nice when they are clean. Mud or muddy water on the black rubber washes off easy enough. The treads are a good, sturdy thickness. I've had them in use for 60 days and they are holding up well. Improvements review software decided to give me a nick name, "beachnut", instead of letting me choose my own. Sorry, beachnut, if I'm impersonating you. January 20, 2014
Everyone likes them I like this product a lot. I like the extrawide option as my stairs are wide. I think that they would be better if they were a little teeny bit thicker. And some of the leaves are not attached to the one next to them and they pull-up. But I got these at a good time as we had a terrible winter and they have been easy to keep nice on my stairs. I don't have the fear of slipping on ice. February 17, 2014
extra wide stair tread So happy to replace two per step for one extra wide and these are thicker than the old ones we had, which makes them stay in place better. Can't accurately rate durability until worn, but initially appear they will wear well. August 28, 2014
Cheap and Flimsy Stair treads were just delivered and as I was taking them out of the box and merely picked them up, two of them tore on the outer perimeter. If it weren't such a hassel I would return them immediately. I do not expect them to last one winter. Do not waste your money. August 26, 2014
