Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dog fence/gate Looks great and works great. I have a very large doorway and this expands to fill it perfectly while looking so much better than the make shift boxes I was using with my pup. I did add felt sliders on the bottoms of the supports as I had read from another's review and this worked even better to protect my wood floors. So glad I came upon this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gate We have gone through several gates since we have 3 active dogs. This gate slides back and forth easily and looks great. Have had many compliments on it. It is a great price too, have spent twice as much on less attractive gates that did not last as long!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good gate! I have been looking for a gate for awhile that would suit my purpose and that does not cost too much. This gate is very useful and is inexpensive.

Is there a locking mechanism once this is slid to the needed width to lock it in place so that a child couldn't slide it open? Thanks.

Asked by: Cheekymom
Nothing the keep the panels from sliding apart, You might be able to install a latch of some kind. Depending on how wide they are spread, a small child probably wouldn't be able to move the panels.

How does this work?

Three pictures with a dog in front of the gate. No idea how it works. I have a gate with a door in my hallway to keep my dogs in the kitchen. I have to take it down at Christmas when my daughter-in-law visits as the gate is not wide enough for her to pass through in her wheelchair. Is there some sort of bottom rail? How does it slide? How wide would the opening be when you slide it open?

The 2 end panels are connected to the center panel and slide along it, one in the back & one in the front. All you have to di is attach the feet on the end panels.

What is the measurement from the gate rails to the end of the supporting foot?

I need this to block a cat from from a tiled hallway into a carpeted room. The wall between the two has a 5 " wall depth. So I need the "feet" supporting the gate to be less than 5" on each side of the gate.
Asked by: Midee
The feet alternate in length which may be a problem if I understand your question. One side of the 'foot' is 5 1/2 inches long and the other side is 4 3/4 inches long. The gate design is such that the long and short parts of the foot will be on alternating sides when you view the right and left sides

Has anyone attempted to increase the height of this gate?

We have a 71" wide entry way we need to gate, but our dog is quite tall and will likely be able to jump over this gate.
