Eucalyptus Sliding Pet Gate 4 5 94 94
Beautiful gate. This gate looks very nice. The expandable panels are wonderful . The feet work great - I like that it doesn't need compression to hold it up. Looks very classy! The only thing that I didn't like was that even though they show it outside, it is not an outside gate. I made the mistake of leaving it out overnight and the wood soared up moisture and left the finish rough and warped. August 20, 2014
Disappointed This gate looks really nice, however there was a huge scratch/dent on it when we received it. It is not sturdy and is pretty light weight, my 15lb poodle can easily move it out of the door way to gain access to the living room. In order for us to keep the dog out of the living room, we have to keep the gate in place with a couple of bricks. Extremely disappointed. July 24, 2014
not disappointed I was a little sketical about this product based on a few of the reviews that I read. I am not disappointed. The panels on my pet gate slide very easily and it looks very nice. I am using this as a barricade between 2 rooms indoors so I can't testify to how it holds up in the weather. I will add that a larger dog could jump over it if it was after something that it really wanted and I would imagine that for the same reason, it could be moved by most any dog because it is not attached to anything. For the price, this is an excellent product. June 22, 2014
Very pretty to look at but .... The gate is very attractive. But it is not exactly a gate ... it is a barrier. Gosh, I wish it would have lived up to my expectations. The pieces are very, very difficult to slide so that it can fit a large opening. The pieces seem to be coming out of their tracks. This is not a "gate" in which you would slide to use. It slides to get to the size you need and is next to impossible to re-adjust or use on a regular basis. I am not good with putting things together and didn't quite understand how to put the feet on. The directions were ridiculous. I finally figured it out and it was not hard but just would have been nice to have better instructions. This is the 2nd item I have purchased that was an Improvements' made-to-order branded item and the other one (outdoor dog bed) was just as bad with directions and with doing what it was supposed to... That one was drug to the curb soon after purchase. Anyway, Improvements has good ideas to solve problems but the execution could be a lot better. May 16, 2014

Answer:
Nothing the keep the panels from sliding apart, You might be able to install a latch of some kind. Depending on how wide they are spread, a small child probably wouldn't be able to move the panels.

Answer:
There is no lock, it slides easily so a child could push it open and closed I would not use this as a child safety gate.

Answer:
No there is not. However it is very stiff and it would take a big strong child to slide it open. The whole thing could be moved though depending on the child. I wouldn't use it for serious child safety, like stairs but more as a boundary.

Answer:
No, the pet gate is free standing and 2 sections slide to the width needed. It would not be suitable for containing a small child.

Answer:
doesn't appear to be, but gate is sturdy enough that it would take a very strong older child to open gate when new - don't know about later if it will slide easier

I need this to block a cat from from a tiled hallway into a carpeted room. The wall between the two has a 5 " wall depth. So I need the "feet" supporting the gate to be less than 5" on each side of the gate.

We have a 71" wide entry way we need to gate, but our dog is quite tall and will likely be able to jump over this gate.
