Electronic Pest Control 3 5 2 2
At Last!! A Rat Repeller that REALLY WORKS! Permanently! 2 yrs ago, our laundry/storage room (that is built into the hillside at back of our house) became Rat Haven in a matter of 5-6 weeks. We saw 1-3 fairly large (5 inch without tail) black rats and within weeks, there were well over a dozen. They chewed thru 4x6's of our beamed ceilings to access the kitchen and set up nestkeeping inside the walls. We tried EVERYTHING (except poisons since there are 4 legged family members lives we didn't want to risk) We tried sticky glue traps, rat 'zappers' that supposedly killed by electronic lightning bolts, trap houses they were supposed to go in but never come out of, and finally were only slightly successful with old fashioned rat traps, the ones like huge mouse traps. We caught/killed 8 in 3 days, but this wasnt keeping up with the rat population boom. We heard them in the walls, running on floor joists, and when they started chewing up the wiring to our oven and gas burner starters... that was it. In a desperate attempt we started trying electronic repellers. They had big claims, none worked. I happened to see this product at a local hardware store and thought, go ahead. try one more. I took it home, wasn't impressed by their claims.. since every company claimed similar results.. but DANG!! Plugged it in at 3pm and by 8am the following morning, all those rats had hit the road never to return. We still plug it in overnight every 10 to 14 days just to be sure, and are now 2 yrs RAT FREE! The night they left there was quite the commotion, arguing and fighting heard in the walls.. that got fainter.. and fainter.. . until it stopped. Whatever they have done to combine the ultrasonic and sonic wave patterns in this product WORKS!!! Thank you Bird-X! Bless you! The rats certainly hate you, but we LOVE YOU! September 26, 2012
Do not buy this This is an extremely poor quality unit. I have a cabin in New Hampshire that is vacant in the wintertime and early spring. I bought one of these to leave in the camp, because we have mice each spring. First of all, this is the LOUDEST unit I have ever used, and when I opened the cabin in the spring, the unit had blown both speakers and was useless. Yep...and I had mice. I called the company and they sent a replacement. I plugged that one in, then went back to the cabin a few weeks later and - again - it had stopped working (this time it wasn't even trying to make any noises). So...I learned my lesson and will not be using this again, but will go back to the previous brand I was using (that would work for 3-4 years before dying). Dont waste your dough on this one !!!
