This bar is so simple, so easy to use and "it works". I have them in my home, I've given them as gifts to the young ladies in my life and even take them along when I travel.

Inexpensive Peace of Mind
Bought these for a co-worker, a co-worker's daughter and one for me. After I bought two for my mom a few years ago, I mentioned the security they offer to co-workers. Co-workers and friends appreciate the portability of the bar and the peace of mind they offer for a low price.

these make me feel safer
We live in a very old house with 12 foot ceilings. We also have oversized heavy doors. I was worried that these may not fit them. But they did. Even though we live in a "safe" neighborhood it never hurts to add extra safety to your home. I have and will keep recommending these to friends.

ease of use, good peace of mind, don't know if it will stop a 200lb person kicking in the door.

CAN YOU USE THIS ON A SLIDING DOOR WITH A 28 INCH WIDTH AND HOW IS IT USED?

Answer:
Yes, I use one on each of my sliding patio doors. You take apart the two pieces and reinsert the inner tube into the outer tube so the holes are closer to the joining piece. The tubes are about 21" long and can be adjusted to to fit your window. You would also remove the plastic stoppers on both ends. There are special slider window/door security bars that have plastic-coated ends, but they are not a necessity and may be more expensive.Age: 45-54
