This product looks good and in trial does well, but we need a good storm to know if it stands up to real work.
This Radio is compact, works well in trial, no real assembly needed. Now we just need to know if it holds up in the long Storms.

Emergency Solar Radio
I have been searching for a quality made emergency radio to keep on hand when a power outage occurs. I end up ordering three of these radios for me and my two adult children. I'm extremely happy with the quality and actually use the radio on a daily basis just using solar power!

Great gadget for my husband!!
This little radio is light weight, does everything but tie your shoes for you - flashlight, solar recharger for radio and your cell phone, weather band, and on and on. Just the thing for a guy to take out into the wilderness (or the back yard!). Makes him feel prepared for anything.

great l product
This unit has many features. It's compack and the sound is very clear.. The weather band channel is a great feature, even for every day. use. Have not tried the solar feature yet. We were very happy with this purchase.

Smaller than it appears in the advertisement
The CC Observer Solar Radio is much smaller than I had expected it to be, and was disappointed when I opened it. I think it is extremely overpriced for the quality of the product. I have not seen another radio that has the same functions, which has the only reason that I am keeping it for now, in case of a loss of power.

Sent this to my daughter and son-in-law as one of their gifts. I feel better knowing they are prepared for an emergency. They were happy with the gift.

One of 3 radios did not work
I bought 3 radios--2 for my adult kids (for Christmas) and I played them just long enough to know that they worked and then wrapped them. When it came to my radio, it did not play so I charged it over night but it still was not working right. I just returned it for an exchange and expect it to be great from the reports that I read but I don't know from experience at this point.

Handy product
Crank had radio working in no time. Have not tried solar yet or phone charger. It's been cloudy. Plan to use it in Peru next year.

Great addition
We were looking for a radio with a weather broadcast feature besides Am and FM and the ability to power itself without batterys or having to be pluged into power. Looked at many befor deciding to purchase this one. Very glad i did. This unit is exactly what is needed for keeping abreast of changing weather conditions when your in isolated areas and is very compact. Don't let the samll size fool you. The volume is as loud as you would ever need and clear as a bell. I highly recommend this Solar Radio to all who are in the market for a this item.

great product!
We compared this radio to a similar one in Hammer Schlemmer for the same price and this one came out with much better features. Then when we got it, we knew we had made a good choice. Works great and we know we will be in touch no matter what happens!

Excellent value for the price
The FM receiver within this radio is nothing short of astounding. I was able to receive stations that my Bose unit could not...with great sound reproduction. The crank utility works well - haven't had the opportunity to use the solar panel. I was also impressed with the flashlight capability...not as good as an LED Maglite - but more than adequate. This is a great buy!

Prepared
The variety of energy sources that can power this radio make it very desirable for home and away from home use. Just a little cranking allows a large amount of operational time. If your cell phone should need charging, it's this radio to the rescue. Shear genius was at work in this design.

Best "unknown" emergency radio
If I didn't know any better, I would assume that the radio is nuclear. I winded the radio as instructed, set it out in the sun with the solar cell up, and the radio never stopped for hours. All the radio channels came in as clear as any digital radio and the weather station started right up with nothing more than flipping a switch. I haven’t tried to charge anything from the radio (i.e. cell phone ect.), but I love this radio.

Thiths radio works great! we were without electricity recently and this filled in perfectly. i have an extra one to keep in our travel trailer.

very pleased
Has operated solely on solar since it arrived. Have it on a window sill where it does get morning sun through the cracked blind slats. Reception excellent and haven't even found it necessary to pull the telescoping antenna out. Wonder if I'll ever find it necessary to plug it into house current, put batteries into it, or crank it to store up power. lol

good product- great for emergency!~
This will be added to our emergency kits! The only thing was that I cant seem to fit the cell phone charging adaptor to the unit... maybe its just me- but the hand crank charging system is going to be great when a radio is needed.

Great Features and Great Value
I was looking to replace an old and diferent model which finally "wore out" and was having difficulty. This model more than met my needs. The external power module and cell phone charger adapters are a great feature. Along with the excellent price.

Not worth the money
Since we have been having so many storms lately I wanted to get something that would allow me to to weather information if we lost power during a storm. This seemed like just what I wanted. However, when I received it & tried to listen I couldn't understand what was being said. Speaker was very tinney & distorted, I couldn't get any stations to come in clearly. A good idea poorly executed. Not worth the money.

Great Emergency Radio-I've recommended to friends and family
We bought one of these for our "emergency preparedness kit" because we liked the fact that it had the solar option and the cell phone charging adapters. We were very pleasantly surprise by hwo great the reception is on this for AM and FM stations. I think it actually has better reception than my home stereo! :) Works great, used the solar panel to power it the other day when I worked from home. I had the radio sitting on my window sill and It worked all day even through the window glass and even when it was not in direct sunlight! LOVE IT.

in case of emergency
hope my ratings all come true...i bought this to have in case of emergency...we've lost power and any contact with outside world before and we're so isolated that is definitely not good...hope this remedy works.

Great for emergencies!

Four Sizes do not fit all
I specifically bought this radio instead of a similar one from a competing company because the ad said it came with an assortment of adapters for cell phones. So, naturally, I thought one of them would fit mine. Not so. So now I am the proud owner of an emergency radio with an emergency cell phone charger that doesn't work for my phone. There should be some way to find this out BEFORE a purchase is made.

Only Time Will Tell
I purchased this item to help us make it thru our Tornado season in the Spring. Time will tell whether or not it will perform as anticipated. Right now, at least I know it works, it charged, and the crank seemed to work. The lights came on and I could tune in a radio station and the weather station. So far it seems to be able to do what is expected...time will tell!

A great find
I purchased this solar radio for my husband to put in our 5th wheel RV. Although we have only had it long enough to check out it's numerous features, we are very pleased. Once we have had the opportunity to really use it and if it performs as we anticipate, we will buy another for our car and one for our single mom daughter.

I like it
Gives great reception with solar charging. Was unhappy that the adapters did not include one which fits my cell but the radio itself was fine.

Perfect during emergencies.
Here on the East coast, just within the last four months, we've had two unusually severe weather patterns; a hurricane in the summer with winds peaking at 110 mph and then an October snow storm that left over 3 million customers without power-some for as long as 10 days. Wish we had the Observer Solar Radio during those times just for peace of mind. It really works!
