Does what it says
I have had a problem with all stocking holders actually holding the weight of a stocking with something actually in it. These work great. At first it wouldn't seem like they would do anything but once you actually put weight in them they begin to work. They do not go anywhere and hold up the stocking (full). I bought them at the end of the season so got a great price. Well worth the original price though.

Great stocking holder
I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I searched many different products before deciding on these based on the reviews I read online. I can't say enough about them. They are adorable, sturdy, nicely made and add a nice touch to the mantel without taking up space that can be used to decorate with other Christmas treasures. I'd definitely buy these again.

Everything you want in a stocking holder
The set of 4 Candy Cane Stocking Holders was exactly what I was looking for. They hold stockings, they will work on a wide range of hearths, they are light enough in weight so nothing gets damaged if they were to fall, they take up little room, and they were relatively inexpensive. Hope they will last a long time -- seems like they will. Not sure how they'll clean up over time -- the red and white stripes are some kind of fabric. I highly recommend these.
