Great product for the price
I really like the look of this product. It was exactly what I was looking for. The appearance was good, there were a few minor dings that you could see was "fixed" with some paint, it was in an area that would be hidden so I wasn't concerned. The assembly was difficult, it was hard to tell which way the shelves get put on. I had to redo it once, and the one locking mechanism came out. It was easy to fix and I still would recommend this product to anyone.

Love these shelves!
These bookshelves work great for my sports room -- narrower shelves for bobbleheads, etc. and wider ones for other stuff. I like the fact that they get narrower on the top and don't stick out too far into the room for the entire height of the shelves. It fits the room better that way. They were shipped and delivered within a week -- great !!

misleading and broken
The picture in the catalog was misleading as it leads you to believe you are getting a 3 across book shelf rather than the 1 across I got.
Therfore the great value I thought I was geting was not there. In fact i recently bought a book case from a furniture store and it turned out to be a much beter value and it was delivered assembled.

in addition one of the shelves was broken so I could not assemble the
one section I got and it now lays in my basement awaiting the replacement part.

what's with total width for 2 5 tiers and 1 3 tier - as it is in the picture.
I need to know the "total" width (left to right) of the ladder shelves as it appears in the picture.

My units are slightly narrower than the nominal specifications given on the website.5-tier Bookcase: 25 5/8 inches
3-tier Desk: 30 1/8 inches
So... the actual total width of the pictured unit is probably around 81 1/2 inches since you can't get the units to sit perfectly side-by-side with no separation unless you clamped or bolted them together on your own.
