Worth the price
The first of these we purchased lasted 10 years. That is less that $20 per year. Also, the price has not increased in those 10 years. Definately worth the money spent. i would certainly recommend this.

Great Product, but Description Lacking
I purchased two of the dark cherry colored 36"x48" mats for my den and they're really great: solid, nice looking, thick enough not to crack and dent like the old plastic ones I used to have. The only down side to them is not the product itself, but the kind of vague description on the site here. When I got the product, the box had an "instructions and recommendations" section on the side which said: "DO NOT use office chairs with metal hooded casters on this bamboo chair mat. DO USE office chairs with plastic casters on this bamboo chair mat. This chair mat is recommended for use on hard surfaces or low pile carpeting. It is NOT RECOMMENDED for use on high pile carpeting." I mention this because this information could sway someone's choice to buy this product.
