18 Volt 8" Chain Saw 4.2 5 9 9
Great Little Chain Saw! This is a great chain saw for small jobs. Being a woman who is not fond of big heavy power tools, this is very light weight and easy to handle. The quality is excellent, although longevity remains to be seen since I've only had it about 3 weeks. Even my husband ( a big chain saw guy) is impressed by what this little thing can do! Surprizingly Good! Ordered this because as a woman I wanted a lightweight easy tool to help remove a fallen 20' willow tree. My garden helper took the whole tree to pieces in 1 afternoon. I never even got a chance to try it out -- he plans to order one for himself. It worked incredibly well and I will use it often on the smaller yard work that has to be done from time to time. light weight, easy to handle we have a large chain saw but my husband wanted a small light weight one to use to trim things around the garden. i saw this in the catalog and got it for him . he used it the day after it arrived to remove a 3" branch from our plum tree, he had to be up on a ladder and said it was light, easy to manipulate and cut right through. since then he has done other trimming. it's also quiet and self oiling! very happy with it! Mini chain saw This chain saw is ideal for pruning smaller limbs. It is powerful and seems to run on a battery charge for about 20 minutes. The oil cap does not appear to fit tightly and I found it laying on the ground after I pruned my first tree. I put it back on but it is not a tight fit. When hanging it vertically on a peg board with my other tools the oil dripped from the cap and ran down the wall to the garage floor. I refilled it, and placed it horizontally on a shelf. Earthwise makes good products so I am wondering if the cap issue is a fluke on my particular one or if others have experienced the same issue. I also used a bit of plumber's tape on the cap threads to try to keep it sealed. Time will only tell whether it seals. August 28, 2014
